Locate the host file location C:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts
Locate the host file location C:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts
Right click the hosts file and open the properties to uncheck the Right-only
Open notepad as an administrator, go to the start menu and type Notepad
Open notepad as an administrator, go to the start menu and type Notepad
Right click on the notepad and Run as administrator
Go to C:\Windows\System32\Drivers\etc
To locate the host file,
Click to select All Files, Open the hosts file.
In this example we are going to block www.facebook.com,by editing the host file.
Add 127.0.0.1 www.facebook.com
after the last entry or below the # sign
Go to the browser and put www.facebook.com
It will not display the website
